Cebu Pacific cuts fares to Bohol, Kalibo
The Manila Times - August 05, 2006
CEBU Pacific (CEB), the airline unit of JG Summit Holdings Inc., has started offering lower rates to Tagbilaran and Kalibo to boost the country’s tourism industry.
In a statement, Candice Iyog, CEB marketing director said her company has offered Manila-Tagbilaran and Manila-Kalibo routes for only P99 one way.
The promo runs from August 3 to August 10, 2006.
Iyog said after the seat sale the lowest ‘Go’ fare to Tagbilaran and Kalibo starts at P568 for one-way travel. The promo and ‘Go’ fares are exclusive of regular surcharges and government taxes.
“As we carry on with our expansion we will continue to offer the lowest fares in the sectors we operate. We are confident that with this seat sale more people are going to fly to Tagbilaran and Kalibo because now, they can afford to,” Iyog said.
She added that the company’s efforts to help develop local tourism continue as we open new routes, add more frequencies to our destinations and offer the lowest fares in the market. “All these are aimed at bringing air travel closer to Filipinos because we really believe that it’s time every Juan flies,” Iyog added.
The company earlier opened its Dipolog and Laoag service and will start flying to Legaspi on August 17 and Singapore on August 31, 2006. It will also start its third daily frequency to Tagbilaran, Cagayan de Oro and Tacloban on August 17. The new routes and additional frequencies are part of CEB’s expansion program.
