I know this has nothing to do with this forum but it was sad to hear of the death of the popular "croc hunter" Steve Irwin. Its strange the amount of times he fought crocs and yet it was a stingray that finally got him. Considering stingrays have only killed two Australians before its not the way i thought he would have died. Aparently he was doing a documentary near the Great Barrier Reef when it happened.:NoNo:

He's the Aussies version of 'Diana'. Strange that a docile animal got him in the end!

It's a sad day for us here at home (Phils) when we learned that
Steve Irwin (http://www.cnn.com/2006/WORLD/asiapcf/09/04/australia.irwin.feedback/) died today...

Apparently, he swam too close to the stingrays at Batt Reef and one of the animals lashed him with its tail that has a poisonous barb at the end...

The barb punctured a hole through his ribcage and through his heart. The incident is extremely rare (fatality) that Irwin is considered to be just the 3rd one on record to die from such occurrence.
