Morning all.
Can anybody relate their experiences leaving Manila with just their e ticket number clenched in their sweaty paw?

For years they've had a security guard on the door stopping anybody going in unless they could show a valid travel ticket. (bloody good idea, considering the masses of plebs who used to crowd outside the doors years ago)

How do we manage when we have no such ticket?

I know I can print out our itinerary, but does that qualify as a ticket?

I can't remember what we did last year either. DOH! :(

Cheers, Pauldo

Paul, the whole point of an e-ticket is that there is no ticket, just a reference number, I'm sure Bozo the clown, erm security guard at NAIA realise this. Best take a print out of the itinerary, in case they ask questions....

Rob, I'm pretty sure that's what we did last year. Had no problems getting through that I can remember.

Virtually every ticket I use for work is an E ticket nowadays. The only problem is that different airlines use them differently. With some you queue up at check in as per normal, some you have to go the the airline desk and get a physical ticket printed off, then go queue up to check in.

With BA you can check in and get the boarding pass at a small self service terminal. Sometimes!

With British West Indian Airways you get a scruffy photocopy of a blank ticket, then they it fill it in by hand, in biro. :D

Variety is the spice of life huh?
