Schengen Visa

My Wife and I are looking to 2006 and maybe taking a Holiday/break in Europe. I know we need to ensure my wife has her Ehic Card, Travel Insurance, Visa with at least six months to run etc.

But does anyone have experince of applying at the various embassies?

You only have to apply at the embassy of the first country you intend to enter. They will issue you with the visa that covers all the countries.

I would just like to add that this visa is issued Free of Charge and is valid for six months

you can download the application form from the embassy web site

when you apply you send your passport by Post Office "courier" service and but a second envelope, which you enlcose with the application, for the return of the documents to your home

On our trip last year to France and Spain only the ferry operator looked at my wife's passport on the way out - British officials at the port of Calais checked her UK Spouse visa before we embarked
