British National and Filipino wife, scamming in Phils - visa scam and upaid hotel bills
British national, Pinay wife wanted for 'illegal recruitment'
The couple allegedly asked P15T each from nine people in exchange for a visa and work in London and United Kingdom
BEWARE!
A British national and his Filipino wife are now being hunted in Bacolod City after they escaped from a hotel leaving behind unpaid bills.
They were also complained of illegal recruitment by nine persons who allegedly fell victims of their ploy.
Police identified the suspects as Jan Salim Fahd and wife, Emy.
Senior Police Officer 1 Oscar Nadado from Police Precinct 8 said the suspects were the subject of an alleged illegal recruitment complaint filed by nine alleged victims. These include Jefferson Tiangson, Josephine Silos, Isha Gay Saile, Alyne Batano, Glenda, Gerald and Glen all surnamed Tiangson, Peter de la Pe¤a, all from Bacolod City and Ann Aquino from EB Magalona.
Each person allegedly paid the suspects P15,000 in exchange for a visa and work in London and United Kingdom.
The Fahd couple allegedly started their recruitment in Bacolod since July.
Last Saturday however the suspects fled from Grand Regal Hotel (GRH) where they stayed for almost 75 days together with their six-month old son. They left unpaid bills amounting to P25,500.
GRH operations manager John Denieves said that the suspects had checked-in last July 2. They occupied Room 204.
In the beginning of their stay, Denieves said, the couple would pay their daily bills.
He said the hotel management had trusted the couple in the later days of their stay because they had been there for so long.
"We were only shocked that they're already gone last Saturday," said the hotel manager. The couple also has unpaid laundry bills amounting to P600 at Laundry-Han located at Lacson-Lizares streets, Denieves said.
This matter is now being handled by Grand Regal Hotel chief of security Pepe Maghanoy, he added.
"What's left with us are only the alleged addresses of the wife, one in Manila and the other one in Zambales," Denieves said.
The unpaid laundry bill was the final straw, after all it was £6.00 laundry bill, hmmmm just makes it harder when I show up in Bacolod, never mind, the know me, I pay my bills.
