Hello guys,
I would like to inquire if anyone of you have experienced sending package to the Philippines at a reasonable price. I want to know which shipping company and their contact info.
Thanks a lot!

Hi Rands,
unless you want to get it there fast then normal Royal mail has always got my parcels/letters over so far.
I have checked at the post office for fast delivery and they will get a parcel there in 4 days at a cost of £46 if it is under 1/2 kg.
DHL charges around about £50 for the same.
I am told that if you have Fedex they will do it for £35 although i have not contacted them myself yet.
I hope this helps.

Last year my wife used a Filipino run company that came and collected it from us and sent it Balikbayan box style. Very reasonably priced too, from what i remember. I'll e mail her and ask her who it was. I'm away at sea right now so it may take a day or two.

Well I have used both Fedex and "mr van" (I think its abotiz at the phill end) The abotiz parcel we sent back in late 2004 i took it up to one of the Earls court shops for collection. But the service(regarding dropoff points etc) whenever we check the site seems to change. But the parcel was good value and got there with in a few days.
For Visa documentation i used Fedex. Once we sent a 10 kg box (box supplied set fee for any weight up to 10kg) which although quite expensive did arrive 2 days later and in one piece. Problem is because i put on the consignment note that it contained books (ilets and english study books, along with paperwork and folders) they aked my wife for tax before they handed it over!!!
Later on I sent 1/2kg size packets with just documents (make sure if its just paperwork being sent, they note that for the custom records on the consignment paperwork as otherwise you can be taxed).
With fedex the parcels were always on time for us and a receipt sent in the post, also its possible to track the consignment using the internet.
If you use Fedex or one of the others like DHL, try and take the parcel in your self to collection point quite often you will get a reduction in fee.
As well as price i would consider security of parcel (if it contains bank staments etc be careful) and of course the time it takes. Sending by sea much cheaper but takes far longer of course.

I decided to go to Royal Mail as they said they could get my parcel to the Philippines in 4 days for a cost of £46 but when i asked more questions it turned out it would take 9 days to get it to were my wife lives which is just 3 days less than it normally takes at a cost of £3. What a rip off!!
I ended up phoning a local delivery company who had it there in 3 days at a cost of £36. It is always good to shop around.

Mmm, there is a company that my wife uses, they supply the packaging, they deliver it to you, then come and pick it up when you have finished packing. The price is supposed to be very good. I will ask my wife, when she gets home, let you know what they are called. ;)
