Is Passport needed?

Hi guys,

with my wife's passport being away in Manila i was wondering if anyone knew just in case it does not come back in time for our holiday in Boracay is a passport needed to fly within the Philippines or just a form of identity?

You don't need a passport, as that's really for international travel. Most Filipinos don't have one anyway and still travel the country, but I'd guess some sort of decent proof of identity is required since the latest coup fiasco.
