Loneliness, when life is put on hold!

[QUOTE=James Hubbard;236623][B]Like many of the people here will totally understand,

my life has been pretty much on hold for the past 9 months. I have only focussed on one thing, and that's working, because it's expensive to have a long distance marriage, and visas don't come cheap either.

But since i came back here from the Philippines, I have really been feeling a bit lonely, but too lazy to go out there and re-establish old connections.

I also feel a bit estranged from my own culture now that I have been away for so long - i was living in the Philippines for 1 full year, and I think the "way of life" is sort of in my blood now.

So yeh, i guess, i wanted to ask (to those who can't relate):

-When your life is "on hold", what do you do to take away the boredom and lonliness?

I think i have been spending waaaayyy too much time on this forum, but it's so convenient ... here with me in my comfy chair ... but I feel i am missing out on life ...

grrrrr

cheers for listening
