Hi Simon this is John I was looking at one of your recent posts about making sure that we sent 2 of everything (documents) for visa application. May I ask how did you present these documents. Maricris was going to sent ours in 2 hard backed binders 1 with origanal the other copies each document in a plastic insert I have a post in the help section. could you advise. Congradulations to you both on your visa. john

How are you doing? Long time no speak! i hope you and your wife are well! Had an amazing time in CDO again! It looks like it is expanding all the time. I saw the Ayala site, thats going to be massive! Had a great wedding at Mount Carmel church Carmen, though the day went so quickly!! I love it out there, six weeks was not enough. When are you next going out to see your mahal? I'm on a bit of a downer being apart from mahal, maybe it is because we spent so long together. I think we stayed in every hotel in CDO this time, coconut bay, marco, dynasty, d'morvie, GV hotel

So your wife actually lives in CDO. My fiancee lives in Lanise near Claveria, right in the mountains, so chilled out everything is always later. but alot of Madel's family are in CDO around Agora. Never realised how big and close filipino families are, i think it is great!!

Tomorrow i will ask mahal what kuripot means we have been trying to sort out what to do for honeymoon. We thought about going to Camiguin then on to Bohol. There is a ferry to Jagna, Bohol from Camiguin which we have to find out about.

You were talking about the seafood restaurant in Opol, have you tried kinilaw??

I was just talking to mahal earlier and she said the SM mall in Agora is actually open now, but only the supermarket. I have never been to the SM mall by the airport, so far out of town. Even when staying at Xavier estates never managed to get there!!

Talking about places to stay, what hotels would you recommend? I liked Xavier estates but so far out of town that you need taxi to get everywhere. Also been to Mallberry suites, but not very impressed with them as we walked off from the street without booking the price went up from their internet prices!! there was a cheap place we stayed at in Agora down the road from Gaisano called Elvira suites. nice for the price but only cold showers!! We are having our reception at the Dynasty hotel, but not been there yet. This hotel is right next to Divisoria, so might have a chance to go to the night cafe this time!! always wanted to go but mahal says too much crowd.

just wanted to say hello and thanks for your help and advice. I hope you and your wife are well. I might have to tap you up on info about CDO, what to do, places to stay and go. I have been there twice now and all i know is Kit Ki and Gaisano malls!! we probably share the same experiences!!

Hi Simon ...cool to make a connection with you ..I tried to send you a private msg but seem unable to as the site wont allow me (was privately going to give u my hotmail & other contact numbers -- it's helpful to chat with someone in similar circumsatances) ...yea -- it's a hard one ... I think what Joe said is spot on, but is also hard to swallow..really he's very good to address it like that & I am grateful ...my head says to risk it but my gut instinct is to wait for wage slips ... if money was no oblject, I would risk it... but am also not sure if it might be detrimental or not to one if had a track record of failing the 1st application & how soon again one could apply without any prejudice against the application ..... i do hope your situ is going +ive for u & yours .... ..Shaun
