Hi! We dont go until June, so a little while yet! Im going on a fam trip to Hong Kong in May aswell! Only for 5 days but cant wait for that! How are you? Yeh Arnie is much happier now, its still a bit chilly here but atleast the snow has finally gone!!

Hi! Is there no way that he can request a different ship? I know Arnie was able to wait until there was space on the same ship I was assigned to. He should try get on one that comes to the UK! The grand or the emerald i think! Alaska is too cold hehe!

Arnie is doing well in his new job in the restaurant. They are already training him as assistant manager. He has also me a few filipinos here aswell now so is settling in well. Im so happy the snow has gone as we had a few days where it was so bad and so cold that i thought he would get on the first plane back to phils!!

Yes, it was bad. Unfortunately I was staying in a very poor part of the country and didn't see any of the better places or the tourist spots. I came back with food poisoning too and am still suffering as a result.

My trip was indeed a culture shock. I'm glad I went, but I wouldn't go again. I don't have the stomach for the low standards of hygiene and sanitation.

Yeh it was fab news about the holiday! Looked into it a bit more now and im pretty sure Arnie is able to come. And we will make a trip to the Philippines when we go aswell! Hope your having a good christmas xx

Aww! Im glad you had a really good time! Yeh it really is an amazing place. Hopefully we can go back for a couple of weeks holiday next year.. need to see if we have enough money tho! I totally get where Edwin is coming from, I met so many filipinos and other nationalities who were working there just for their kids at home to provide a better life for them. Its just not easy for him to do the same in the Phils. Thats good your going for a cruise to see him! Fab! Hope you get a good discount cos he is on board!

Arnie is settling in ok. He has been working in a hotel bar and the hours are just awful, some nights he doesnt get to finish until 6am. He cant get used to the times he is getting in and not sleeping well which has also caused him to loose so much weight!

So he hopefully has a new job to start next weekend and its in a restaurant. So this way we will atleast be able to go to bed at the same time!!!

Just try to get a good night sleep and you should get over the jet lag!

Hey! I just read your post about arriving at the airport! I was exactly the same as you.. totally worried! But it is really really simple. You head off the plane and through to the baggage area, then just exit the airport straight ahead of you once u get ur luggage. There is a zebra crossing on the street, cross over and you go down a ramp/tunnel that takes you outside to where all the people waiting on arrivals are. Its quite overwhelming cos there are so many people and i just thought i was never gonna see Arnie but u will find Edwin. Just agree on a letter before you go and you should be able to spot him! You will be fine!!! Is he picking you up with his car?xx

Yeh, pretty relieved he got work, he was getting bored with me going out to work every day. Thats good you booked somewhere. Im sure you will have an amazing time! I loved it in Greenbelt, some really fab restaurants there and good shops too! Are you going to be meeting his family??
