    hi there!
yes, we're doing great, thanks! yes, i remember it was terminal 3 too. its a bit of a long walk for us (since i have a 3 year old tagging along) but there was this airport employee driving a little buggy, resembles a golf cart (i dont know what ist called) who politely asks anyone if they need a lift to flight transfer. it wont be a problem for annabel really if she's travelling alone. terminal 3 is not that big and its easy to navigate. One advice i can give is have her check in online 24 hours before her flight, it was really convenient.

You mentioned working for UKBA, Jonathan ... in which case, ... by all means there would be no harm in YOUR contacting the Embassy to explain the situation, INSTEAD of Annabel, given her reluctance to do so.

My previous reply had been based on the assumption that it would've been less expensive if Annabel were to do it, with her living in the Phils.

    Good Luck, mate,

    Arthur

    Hello again Jonathan,

Have just read your two messages. Like Annabel, MY wife opted to have her visa delivered by Courier. Myrna's was approved on February 23. On the following day, she received a text informing her thus: "Processed passport returned through Courier". It duly arrived at the address she gave in Merville, Tagum City on the 27th.

With Annabel living in Siquijor, Mindanao ... but based and working in West Rembo, my guess is there has been some confusion over the address to which the visa should be sent.

In the circumstances, therefore, Annabel should contact the Embassy direct [as suggested by VFS] explaining her PRESENT whereabouts and ask for her passport (no need to mention the visa!) to be sent THERE. Please note, though, that the courier will only hand over the package to the ADDRESSEE (Angela) in person!

I hope this clarifies the situation, mate. All the best to you both; keep me updated.

    Kindest regards,

    Arthur.

hi jonathan, glad you have had a happy ending. things have turned out easier than i expected although it has only been a week.for the first few days she really found it hard to adapt to the cold, but seems to be adapting to it better now. the short days seem to be affecting her more as she feels like its time to sleep as soon as it gets dark i had the good sense to set up her family with their own pc and internet so they can keep in touch on skype every day, also been taking her out to meet my friends and getting her involved as much as possible so no real problem with homesickness so far. i waited less than an hour for the wife to collect her luggage and get through customs at heathrow so less stress there.hope things go as well for you and feel free to keep in touch to let me know how things are going

It's routine, as long as they have a copy of the passport and card it will be fine. If it's booked through a travel agent then they probably won't ask for this at the airport, however if your booking for someone else over the phone they may ask for scanned copies of the card and passport.

    Hi Jonathan,

I keep looking :cwm25: to see if there's been any word about the text message Annabel received from the Embassy. I hope and pray it was a positive result, mate!

Look forward to hearing from you,

    Arthur
