Hello, Quennie ... it's good to know all's well with you and your mahal, and that you now have FLR. for your update.

As regards the 'Life in the UK' Test ... it is currently based on the official Home Office Publication, Life in the UK - A Journey To Citizenship - 2nd Edition - available from the likes of Waterstones or W.H. Smith. There's also an accompanying handbook with practice Q's & A's ... which you can buy for a few extra pounds.

If you have submitted the requirement by post all you have to do is wait for the letter for biometrics and then you can book online or you can phone them after you receive it. I prefer you to phone them because its very hard to book it online some are already fully booked. First come first serve basis. Goodluck!

Hi, Quennie ... in my opinion, it's a jolly good idea to apply in person for your FLR. That's what MY wife did when she applied for her Residence Permit [ILR] in February. Okay, ... it costs £300 extra for what UKBA refers to as its 'Premium Service'. But even so, I believe it's worth it - in terms of sparing you the frustration of having to wait ... and wonder ... for anything up to 3 months - because you'll be told the outcome of your application on the same day it's submitted - sometimes within a couple of hours if you're really lucky - providing you've complied with all the requirements.

So ... what you have to do now, is contact the PEO closest to where you live and they'll arrange an appointment as soon as a suitable slot becomes available. And then, it's a case of concentrating on assembling the various documents necessary - as outlined in the Application guidelines.

sorry for my very late reply, in my case, I took up test here in UK and its just very easy. Do the A1 english language test but I did the advance one but still so easy.
