Hi Simon, thanks for your message and for mentioning my uncle-his funeral is at the end of next week. Been a bit too busy really, especially the last week or so! Started a little side business which is taking time & money before I can get any returns! My other uncle & aunt are arriving from canada on Friday + I should have a date this w/end with a more local filipina from weybridge! How have you been?

Once again, Tim ... it's MY pleasure; although I realise another 'green blob' may seem small consolation for "what might have been", it always helps to keep your spirits up ... by letting you know how much your contributions to the forum are valued!

You remind me of a younger version of myself, in many ways ... both genuine, caring people ... and you deserve every chance of happiness with an equally nice lady. At the risk of playing "matchmaker", I'd been hoping Rhen would maybe "take the hint", so to speak ... and [who knows?] she MIGHT yet (assuming of course, SHE sparked YOUR interest sufficiently!). I trust you don't mind!

Interesting to learn you were a BB member, too - serving latterly as a Staff Sergeant - and to know of your uncle & aunt's joint involvement as Company Captains. Sorry about your uncle's ill-health in recent times.

Hi Tim. Thank you - I completely understand where you are coming from. Don't worry - my girlfriends are both really really nice but me - not so much! LOL! I intend to get to know the guys first before I even consider giving them my girlfriend's details. I am very protective when it comes to my friends and last thing I'd want to happen is be responsible for their next heartache. I appreciate your concern and warning. Hi man.. sorry about the delay in "adding friends" - I haven't been in here for a bit. Told my girl all about your phond idea with the CallingNow sim - she thought it was great! Not going to be doing it this side of the hol's though - tight funds.. All still going well though it would seem.. had a particularly nice email recently!

Let me know what you think, I will of course help you further is I can. My Charie is presently back in Phils right now, so when she gets back to Sing I will ask her what she thinks and get back to you.

Sorry I only just saw your message. Charie is in Singapore on student status, therefore is not allowed to be in employment (officially) What my Charie does is a lot of part time work, a job here a job there, some bar work etc etc. From what I saw and from what I have leanrt from her and my Singaporean friends, a Philippina girl is not in for an easy ride if she goes to Singapore, not unless she is well qualified. Unfortuanately, they are seen as second rate citizens, and treated accordingly. Poor pay, long hours and one day off a week if they are lucky. There are many recruiting agencies in Singapore, while I was there I was shown lines of new 'girls' just in from various countries signing in to there new jobs.
I don't want to put you or your girl off, but please take care, long contracts, and short breaks add up to near slavery to me, I have seen it before in Saudi when I worked there.
