When I finally woke up the early afternoon was already hot and humid and the whole area was totally silent with an almost eerie remote feeling. The sights, the sounds and the smells somehow seemed really different. Sounds weird now I know, but even the people I had met, although briefly, seemed different. It could almost have been a different world.

I've just got to say this, if anyone wants to truly get away from anything and everything,
No matter what anyone thinks, I am not afraid to admit that I feel the joy of shopping trips just as much as my wife.
Whenever I visit the Philippines I always make sure that time is allowed for at least 3 or 4 outings to the shopping mall.
I'm not talking here about a couple of hours. I'm talking big time.

My wife's mother was born in Bohol.
Despite this I was surprised to learn that my wife had never actually visited there.
I had wanted to go to Bohol for some years, so when we were in the Philippines last May we decided to spend a few days there.
I was very impressed with the island and we had a really great time.
Traffic is much more disciplined. Mostly the streets were clean, the air much less poluted and a very realxed 'country living' style about everyone.
