    Airline Legroom

I was just looking for a list of legroom per airline, and found these wonderful tips on a site!
    1. Watch out for the bad ones - there is often no recline in the seats just in front of an exit row (Virgin Blue are bad for this), or the seats right behind the (baby) bulkhead row are close to squalling brats, icky food, and vomit, or the seats at the very back are often right next to queues of desperate people wanting to get to grips with the toilets.
Of course, if your sense of humour is quirkier than mine, these are the seats that you book your boss into. And don't forget to call ahead and change his food preference to lacto-vegetarian with no sugar.
    2. The real intrepid people look for an airline that has just suffered a major disaster and then fly with them - there are whole rows that are empty.

And this site is always useful when planning which seats to pick http://www.seatguru.com/

Hi there Win2Win with ref: To leg room I have probe`s with that as I am 6ft 2" and funny enough last time I had a problem was in LHR terminal 3 when I was booking in I asked can I have the exit seat please.... she said sorry they are for special people SO I said how special do you have to be?? ...she said it`s for tall people.... I said I am 6ft 2" how tall do you have to be to be special..??

So she booked me in and said you got it an exit seat.....when I got to my seat it was not the exit seat at all.... GERRRRR!!! this could only happen here in the UK ... when in the Philippines they actually came and asked when we were up in the air if I wanted another seat with more room which was the exit seat...Phil...

Phil, next time you fly out try and fly Cathay, you can book your seat online 48 hours before the flight, get on their website and book the exact seat you want

Sometimes you're flush and sometimes you're bust, and when you're up, it's never as good as it seems, and when you're down, you never think you'll be up again. But life goes on.
The beauty of a woman is not in the clothes she wears, the figure that she carries, or the way she combs her hair. The beauty of a woman is seen in her eyes, because that is the doorway to her heart, the place where love resides. True beauty in a woman is reflected in her soul. It's the passion that she shows to the outside world.

Seat Guru is pretty good for getting a good view of the aircraft beforehand although I often disagree with thier seat ratings.

Expert flyer is pretty good too but it's a pay service.

The good thing about expert flyer is you can see the actual airline published seat and class availability on a particular specific flight.

... and to fly like your avatar, you'd need strong wings.

Just looked on here, they have nearly every airline in the world listed, except Saudi. Not so good for me as I have two flights to the Phils booked with Saudi this year

Is that only if you actually book with Cathay direct, or through a travel agency too?

That seating plan website is good, but although it found my first plane out and 2nd one back + the times, it was in grey, so I couldn't highlight it. Is there anything else I can do to find out?

I was able to choose my seat online with Etihad...but only on the outward journey.

Couldn't check in online in Manila .

Oh, and the legroom was less than I'm used to. (I'm over 6 foot).

Although I'm not that tall-5ft 10/11, I've got proportionally longer legs, so ideally want a seat next to the aisle, but maybe a window seat from Hong kong to Manila, so I have some views for at least some of the journey

Some amazing views over Hong Kong.

Shame they don't land practically in the middle of town as per pre-1998. Now that WAS spectacular.
