Book: Bad Science by Ben Goldacre
Bad Science by Ben Goldacre.
EVERYONE should read this book. I read it in a couple of days on my recent holiday. I just couldn't put it down! It made me laugh, made me angry and changed the way I look at things.
The book deals with the misrepresentation of science in the media, schools, the NHS and society in general. I have an interest in this sort of thing anyway, but I still learnt loads of interesting stuff, including an insight into the pharmaceutical industry and how they conduct their trials. The sections on homeopathy and self appointed nutritionists are particularly enlightening.
I don't read many books, but I'm so glad I read this one!

TweetThanks for the rec

It's always nice when you find a book that you can't put down and end up reading in a couple of days. The last book like that I read was Private Dancer by Stephen Leather. It's an e-book only, but free to download. Although it's set in Thailand, it certainly opened my eyes up to what a puti or farang in Asia should be careful of.
