Floods Affect Davao
Just found this story.
Sounds to be a bad situation
Must say we haven't received any information from friends and familiy either in and around Davao City or Davao Oriental.
Floods affect more than 30,000 in Davao provinces
Floods brought by heavy rain over Davao del Norte and Davao Oriental have affected more than 30,000 people, the National Disaster Risk Reduction and Management Council (NDRRMC) said late Sunday.
In a report posted on its website Sunday evening, the NDRRMC said the flooding started last November 8 and affected 6,379 families or 31,895 people from Carmen and Braulo Dujali towns.
Of these, 5,989 families or 29,945 people from Carmen and 390 families or 1,950 people from Braulo Dujali were affected.
The NDRRMC said another 100 families from Dapco and San Francisco villages in Panabo City were evacuated to the church and packing plants but have already returned home.
On the other hand, it said 430.73 hectares of agricultural production and 80 hectares of fisheries were damaged in Carmen town.
The NDRRMC said the disaster reduction and management councils of Carmen and Braulo Dujali have extended relief assistance to the affected families.
