Thumbs up Bargain for Whisky Drinkers

    http://news.stv.tv/scotland/280821-4...-goes-on-sale/

Aldi will retail 3,000 bottles of a 40-year-old single malt whisky across their 450 UK stores starting from December 8.

The limited edition Speyside Single Malt Whisky comes from an unnamed Scottish distillery.

They said they are the first supermarket to sell a 40-year-old single malt and, given its £49.99 price tag, they expect it to sell out within hours.

I wish they'd sell Tanduay at Philippine prices.

    Not a whisky man.

Then again, my posts would be even dafter than they normally are.

If you want cheap spirits, go to your local Polish shop, they usually have a large selection of homemade spirits distilled from anti-freeze, bleach and cleaning solutions

I'm with you there Mick, I'm not tea-total and do enjoy the odd beer when I'm on holiday or a glass of red vino if I'm having a meal with friends, but I never touch a drop at home
