Cagayan de Oro Disaster
Having only now gotten around to properly reading about the full impact of this catastrophic event and its devastating consequences, my heart goes out to members whose loved ones - be they families, friends or others simply known to them - were caught up in its fury.
I am particularly saddened to learn of the tragic loss of life ... most notably, the beloved 11-year-old god-daughter of Terpe, one of the forum's most prominent stalwarts. Human nature being what it is, it's only when something of this magnitude strikes those with whom we're in regular contact - whether in person, or online - that the awful reality begins to "bite".
Our deepest condolences to you and Carina, my friend - and also to the relatives of everyone similarly affected. Rest assured, you're ALL in our thoughts & prayers.
God Bless.

TweetThank you Arthur.
You are so right that this is a huge disaster.
Quite honestly it's just to big for local authorities to handle.
Logistics and equipment are just not up to this scale.
