Etihad Airways....views please.
Well, this airline keeps coming up as one of the cheapest from Manchester for my February trip to Manila.
Any experiences of it guys, good or bad ?
I'm not bothered about drinking on the plane, can sleep on the floor of a dusty mid-east airport if required, minimal baggage taken, will eat anything that is 'free'.

I've not flown with them myself, but I have heard many people say they are very good and on par with Emirates. You'll go via Abu Dhabi, which is a nice airport or it was when I was there on the way back from India in Jan 2000, and I'm sure it's been upgraded since then too.

We have used Etihad and are using them again later today. No problems with thm at all, the food was ok not great. Seats are quite comfy and bear in mind I'm 6'5", the staff were nice and friendly. Abu Dhabi airport is very nice, clean and easy to find your way about. Even the movies etc on the plane were a good mixture, I got my system stuck on some guy reading the koran, a very interesting 15 minutes.

As above, it's a very good airline, modern aircraft and a very good 'in-flight entertainment'. Abu Dhabi is a good, easy airport to transfer through with free wi-fi and bars. Alcohol is served onboard the aircraft.
When flying back from Manila I recommend you check in online, so that you can use the baggage drop desk at NAIA and not join the massive queues.
I've got status with them, and have flown to/from Manila with them about 15 times in the last few years in both Economy and Business (which is one of the best business class cabins btw), and am always happy with them.

My fiance loves Etihad...
He told me it is the best (i dont know if he is being fair, or he is just trying to convince me that it is, since it is cheaper.. hahaha) and true, it has a connecting flight in abu dhabi... I already have my confirmation of the flight but it is not like the confirmation from local airlines where I would just download and print it...There is no print option in the confirmation email...
England, England, soon, I could touch you by hand...
England, England..Soon on you my feet will stand..
