Friends in Eastbourne or Brighton

I am a filipino girl and will be moving to eastbourne soon. I work in brighton though and wondered if there are anyone else who wants to meet up for chat sometime and to make friends?

We stayed the night in Eastbourne late 2009, I hope it has improved since as then it had become very tacky, empty shops, run down hotels, pondlife on the streets etc - it looked like it was trying to compete with Hastings. I always remember it as being a bit more upmarket along the lines of Worthing although that seems to have taken a turn for the worse with tattooed scrotes parading their trophy dogs along the High Street
