    TOne, thank you so much!

I am printing another form in A-4 size.
Yes, we were single before we got married.

..but I got my Certificate of No Marriage, from the Philippines when I came here b'coz I had to present that document when we had to register our marriage in New castle.

Anyways, thanks for that idea- i might as well get that A-4 size wallet and so it will be presented tidy, i got almost all the documents/pictures/ etc.. that we might need, my passport still my maiden name, i didn't do the amendment, so technically what will appear on the form is my name on my passport. right now I am waiting for my husband's money so we can pay the 550 pound fee. We are planning to do it by ATM.

    Hello TOne,

    Thanks for the help.
Printing new form in the right size now.
Just a question is your wife's FLR form using your lastname already?
As my passport is not amended by Phil Embassy so- I will still use my maiden last name.. Thanks..

    Hi Han
No Rina's application was in her maiden name not our married name - even when we went to register her Biometrics she had to sign the form in her maiden name.

Its no problem what you are doing.

    Cheers

    http://www.ukba.homeoffice.gov.uk/vi.../waitingtimes/

Basically the say now 95% of postal applications will take Up to 6 months!

    No it doesn't say that.

    It actually says:

    We will:
    decide 95% of postal applications within six months;

    Very different.

Well it's obviously point of view isn't it?

But to me that's saying you have to wait up to 6 months. And sods law says my application is in that 5% outside..

That's a considerable difference to 1 month as it mentioned when I checked in December.

Yes. It still means some will have to wait at least 6 months. And implicit in the UKBA's words is that some will take 4 or 5 months. Amazing timeframe considering the outlay, and considering whats involved.....if it can be done the same day, why then 6 months? I can see 2 or 3 weeks instead of same day, but 6 months plus

Quoting Win2Win here.... "FLR is basically a formality, it's really just a visa extension,..."

They must just sit for weeks in a pile doing nothing.

    Hi My Friends!

Glad to say the evidence was sent back today by recorded post minus my lovely folder (but who cares) and the letter stating the BRP will be with us in the next 7 days (from 21st Feb) which in reality is the next few days!!
Although I never had any doubts as to getting the FLR its the waiting and hanging on that dragged this around!

Anyway now we can think about going on a short holiday before our baby arrives and Rina gets too uncomfortable to travel! I am sooooo happy!

I hope Alan & Lyns FLR comes through soon!

    Cheers

    Good news there tone.
Yes, I know what you mean about all the waiting around. Makes you wonder what kind of working system they use.

no your visa is still valid while the UBKA consider your application, so no need to worry and you dont need to do anything..As long as you submitted your FLR application before your visa expires, you will benefit from Section 3C protection (continuing leave)
