Transporting Electrical goods.
Hi, I will be travelling to Cebu next week (January 17th)

.My wife has bought an electrical oven
and wants to take it as hand luggage
.My question is this...WHAT WAS SHE THINKING!! No serious my question is this. Will we be allowed to take this item through check-in and through customs? We are flying with Cathay pacific from Manchester via London and Hong Kong.
:Yesterday was history.Tomorrow is a mystery.Today is a gift. This is why it is called"The present!"

TweetThat's strange, I did post an answer to this.
Another case of lost replies which happens from time to time
Can't remember exactly what I said, but provided the item meets size and weight constraints of the airline and does not contained prohibited substances the it can be carried on. Check this with the carrier website.
As far as customs is concerned, I don't believe any duty or any tax is payable.
