TOEIC - Hopkins International Partners, Inc.
Hopkins International Partners, Inc. is one of the approved testing centre partner of UKBA in the Philippines. They are very professional and staffs are friendly

I recommend this testing centre for spouse/fiancee visa applicant who will take their english test in the future. I took mine back in November 2011 (Listening and Reading & Speaking only test). The testing fee is reasonable. I paid Php1,700 for Listening and Reading and got the results after 30 mins. Php3,700 for Speaking Only test and got the results after 2 weeks. Hassle free as I received the score report via courier at home. Luckily I'm very pleased with my score

They have a new website you can look up by the way:
http://www.hopkins.ph/
And their contact details:

If you browse their website you can find test preparation resources, handbook and other tips. The test is not very hard but not very easy either. I would say the Listening and Reading is quite easy for me than the Speaking only test based on my own experience.
I'm not advertising their company but I recommend it as I tried it myself and I didn't have any problem at all. Although there are few other approved testing centre you could try but I heard from other members that they had problem with certificate or their testing fee is quite expensive.
Goodluck to those taking the test in the near future. Also Goodluck to those applying for spouse/fiance visa as well including me

Yep, I feel sorry for Grace/Adam with those lot that they went with recently.
Hopkins in Makati also do a good coaching day that helps one to prepare for the tests. My wife found that very useful, so that you dont go into the test "cold". There is a fee but it is a reasonable one.

They offered me if I wanted to have workshop as preparation for the test that day. It was only Php1000 but I said no and used it instead to buy mcdonalds

I'm so lucky and got a very good score
Listening & Reading - 805
Speaking only - 140 out of 200

I wish I could report the same - I went to Hopkins with Rina back in May and they were useless IMHO - completely ignorant - eventually Rina managed to get the tests booked and results back (but it took 3 weeks and she had to retake S&W) so in total we had to wait nearly 2 months before we could apply for the Visa.
They didnt give any guidance - only after sitting the workshop did Rina get clarification on what to do... yet the documents I read said before each test the testing staff are supposed to explain what to do before each test starts - they didnt.. anyway its history but I couldnt say they are a good group of people from my experience.

I think the workshop helped to provide examples of what each part of the test needed - from reading between the lines if you didnt pay the PHP 1000 for the workshop you didn't get any sort of instruction or orientation on doing the test, however it was a good workshop and gave Rina what she needed. The cost isn't too crazy but having to take the S&W twice was getting crazy IMHO.
Rina was ok at communicating but she never studied English at school In the sticks) and only gained English properly when she moved to Manila but she has come on leaps and bounds now...

Yes. Have a google online as there are a good range of practice papers for the Hopkins TOEIC test which my wife did at home before the exam.
Good luck to those taking their tests soon. I think you will find it is easier than you think. The pass mark for A1 is actually quite low BTW.
My wife did the Hopkins workshop and through doing that she met others in a similar position to herself (not surprisingly) and she went on to do the CFO at requirements at SMEF COW with the girls she met at Hopkins and still remains in contact with 3 of them now.
