Erm ... yeah Graham ... pasalubong as Terpe has already noted

Perfume
Chocolates ( she's bound to have sibs / nieces / nephews )
Valentine card
Picture postcards of York and London
T shirt(s) from York ( lkely to be either small or extra small UK size )
Drinking mug with Union Jack pattern ( bubble wrapped )
Green & Black drinking chocolate ( " " )
Yorkshire tea bags
Towels and toiletries - leave them if there are any spare at the end of your trip
You might just need to reconsider taking a check-in bag as well as cabin baggage, but you're paying for it, you might want souvenirs to take home, and the above suggestions are romantiko
On a practical note, have another look at the " Health checklist before travelling to Philippines " !

If you've got a Poundland shop near you, get a load of big Toblerone's (170g size)
, they're about £5 each at the airport
I haven't met a Filipina yet who doesn't like Toblerone

Thanks for the suggestions people, but my Tesco bag might be a bit stretched with that lot.

As for certain other 'items'....my girlfriend reads these forums !

With all this advice, how can you honestly answer the question " Did you pack your own bags, sir ? "
.... " Erm, yes, but 30 online friends advised me what to pack ! "
