    Dental Nurse.

Hi Guys! In the end of Feb hopefully I will be in Uk specifically in Cambridge. Not urgent though since my husband want me to explore and enjoy my stay and make myself comfortable first with the new place.

In the future' I want to work and continue my career in the field of nursing. I have 7 years experience in Dubai as dental nurse so hopefully I can practice it in UK but I don't where to start.

    I will appreciate any suggestion.

    Thank you x

    Hello!Gracey,

I just want to ask when are you leaving the country?I suggest that you should check the website of NMC like I did.If you plan to work there in the U.K as a Nurse. you need to register at NMC then take IELTS and get score of 7.0.I also plan to work there as Nurse..

Hi Gracey, and welcome to the forum !
For links which should help nurses and midwives, 3 ( below ) should help.
However, to work as a dental nurse in the UK, you need to be registered with the General Dental Council ( GDC ). To do so you need to have successfully completed a course approved by the GDC, although I'm sure you are already well qualified with good experience.
Dental nurses can work in general practice ( NHS or private ), hospitals, community dental services or elsewhere.
Experience as a dental nurse can then also lead to a career as a dental hygienist, dental therapist ( oral health practitioner ), or orthodontic therapist.
There is more information, with further links in 2 ( below ).
Although 1 ( below ) is primarily information for dentists, it also provides information for Non-European Economic Area nationals, such as yourself, with further useful links.
Good luck – Palarin ka sana !

Good luck with your search for work in and around Cambridge, Gracey. There are lots of Filipinos in the area who work as nurses at Addenbrookes Hospital in Cambridge. I'm not far from there myself.
