Dubai to Manila Visa required at Dubai Airport?
Hi folks,
We are thinking of flying to Manila via Emirates via Glasgow-Dubai-Manila.
In relation to the transit time in Dubai around 4 hrs, does my Filipino wife or I (I'm British Cit) require a visa for our time at the Airport?
We normally fly via KLM, but now its a late arrival in Manila and I prefer shorter flights.
Emerates sound good and longest flight is 8hr 50min.
Cheers

No you won't need any visa whilst in the transit area so you should be fine, my Wife came via Dubai on Emirates no problem.

Thanks
Hi Tone,
Thanks for the quick reply. Thats great no visa required for my wife while in Dubai airport during our transit stop.
Emiates appear to get good reviews for their service.
Cheers

You're welcome!
Ive always found Emirates very good, I've flown with them a lot and apart from their stingy upgrade policy their economy service is good.
My favorite airline however is Singapore Airlines!

I recently transited through Abu Dhabi on Etihad Airways, and yes, basically you're in 'no-mans land' while in the transit lounge of any international airport.
A close eye will be kept on you though, to make sure you don't escape.
(Etihad were cheap, and very good service.)

Last time I passed through Dubai, they pushed me through the wrong immigration line and I got 30 day visa for the place. It has never happened before as I was in transit. I literally could have walked out the doors, but I thought better of it

30 days in that place wouldn't have been cheap.
