Who's who in the zoo???
I often see posts I could contribute too or comment on, but feel that to post appropriately I would need to know the persons gender, and or location.
I have seen other people who have wondered the same thing "so xxx is a guy scammed by a girl" or direct questions asking gender.
Also location is relevant to a lot of questions or opinions. ie it's pretty pointless me telling someone they can get an item at our local corner shop when they are on the other side of the world.
It doesn't make it any easier if two people use th same login.
I have seen posts where people want to meet someone, again without mention of gender. (they are usually steered towards the right sites anyway, but still such a post is pretty pointless if no-one knows who what they are)
Am I alone in my "confusion"?

If you are referring to this forum, LOCATION is in the top right of each post, and you can get what sex they are by clicking on the username> Public Profile
However the info will not appear if the user does not want it to, it's called privacy, something we respect.
Anyway, we know Rob is an IT, and Joe is a

Yes, but keithAngel has neither a location or gender!
Yes, privacy should be respected, but I have my doubts if is because there is a valid reason for not giving a general area and gender, I think it is more likely that the usefulness of the information has been overlooked.
I think with all the spam and junk mail etc, we all tend to give the minimum information possible out of habit.

I agree sometimes people say how can i do this or why does my partner say this.
But they fail to say wheter they are the male or female partner (if it same sex relationship no one on here blinks an eyelid)
Location, the age group of the two people involved and a bit about their background.
Sometimes if you knew a little more say its a early 20's fillpina/o who has never had a partner who is worried about meeting there partner or a mature guy or female from the west who has been married four times. You may get a better grasp of how to help and what to suggest.
No need for your life story folks but helps people see how they might be able to help if they know the basics of there background and relationship if thats what they need advice on.
