    Flight booked

Last Thursday i looked at the priced on Qatar airways, by this morning they had gone up over £300.

Looked around again and eventually booked on Cathay Pacific via Hong Kong to Cebu (will catch the ferry to CdO).

Ended up paying 1775 for two tickets, but the advantage is that it is only about 15 hours, as opposed to nearly 30 on the return trip on Qatar.

The prices rise steeply during our school holidays, but working in a school, I have no choice.

I don't usually look forward to travelling, suppose I had to do too much when I was at school, but I am looking forward to this trip.

    Good choice Cathay mate.

Trust me the time you save is worth it.

that 15 hours extra would feel like a lifetime and you would feel as you know very very knackered not how you wanna feel go to phill with all that heat.

    Have a good One

You know i always go for the cheapest airline and this time it was Kuwait and after my experience on this trip i would not use them again no matter how cheap they were and would certainly go with most others like Cathay & Qatar.

    Will explain my experience soon!!

The more I read on various forums, the happier I am to be paying slightly more on Cathay Pacific.

We only have about 1 1/2 hours in Hong Kong in each direction. Could have had a 5 hour stopover, but i was scared of buying more cameras I don't need

The shorter trip time, about 15 hours each way, as opposed to 24 one way and 30 on the way back feels a lot less stressful, never mind having long stopovers in places I didn't want to be in.
